Gwynedd Mercy University Baseball and Softball
Keystone Sports Construction recently completed the construction of Gwynedd Mercy University’s baseball and softball complex. This marks another successful project at Gwynedd Mercy University, following the installation of their multi-sport stadium field by Keystone Sports in 2021. Founded in 1948, Gwynedd Mercy University is a private institution located in Lower Gwynedd Township, Pennsylvania. The scope of work on this project included installation of a drainage system for storm management followed by construction of a stone sub-base. The sub-base underwent laser grading before synthetic turf was installed. Keystone installed Astroturf’s premier baseball synthetic turf system, Diamond Series, Rootzone Diamond Blend OPS. Additionally, two rain gardens were installed on-site to address potential drainage challenges. Additional elements from the build include new dugouts, batting cages, bullpens, backstop fencing, scoreboards, and paving of new roads and walking paths that tie into the existing university campus.
