Running track maintenance includes resurfacing your track. When your surface gets to the point that it needs a major overhaul and small spot repairs aren’t cutting it, our repair company is here to help with resurfacing the track. The two resurfacing options that our repair company offers are an over pour and a respray. Prior to the selected resurfacing option being applied, our team will make all the required repairs to the structural integrity of the track surface including but not limited to delaminating edges, bubbles, pore holes, and extremely worn areas. These repairs will ensure that when the resurfacing is completed your track looks like new.
- Respray: Is a structural spray applied with a precise mixture of EPDM and polyurethane in the desired color.
- Over Pour: Is 4mm poured polyurethane with generously embed EPDM granules.
When your track surface is too damaged or worn to resurface, a full replacement becomes the only smart choice. The first step is selecting which one of our premium grade surfaces you would like to install. The second step requires our specialized team to safely remove and responsibly dispose of your existing surface. The third step is to thoroughly inspect the condition of the existing asphalt to determine if any remediation is required. The following paths will be suggested based off of the findings:
- If the asphalt is in acceptable condition, we will prep the area and install your selected track surface.
- If there are small isolated asphalt issues, we can remove and pave the required areas.
- If there are surface level cracks throughout the asphalt milling the top 1.5” off and then repaving that depth is advised.
- If the area has deep cracks and or deviations in the planarity, a full depth mill and repave may be required. This would also involve regrading of the stone bed using specialized laser grading equipment prior to HMA paving the 4” of new asphalt.
