Wilkes-Barre Area School District Tennis and Baseball FieldĀ  Design Build

Keystone Sports Construction recently completed a design-build project at the baseball field and tennis courts at Wilkes-Barre Area High School. The project is located in the public school district situated in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, which hosts a student body ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. This marks the fourth successful phase in the design-build projects between Keystone Sports Construction and the Wilkes-Barre Area School District.

The sporting complex project consisted of several phases, starting with the excavation of the site work for both the tennis courts and the baseball field. A drainage system was installed, followed by the installation and laser grading of a stone-sub base system. Keystone installed premium dual fiber synthetic turf with thatch zones to the baseball field to ensure high-quality performance for the athletes. The tennis court project involved installing new asphalt and new acrylic surface coating. Afterward, striping was provided for tennis court lines, and netting was installed.

Additionally, fencing was installed both around the field and the courts. Two bullpen pitching mounds were supplied, and dugouts, a batting cage, and a scoreboard were installed for the baseball field. Afterward, Keystone Sports Construction installed the Musco lighting system around the tennis courts, providing the perfect lighting for night matches.

Design elements for the baseball field include a custom midfield logo, alternating green turf panels, and custom blue and black foul line areas.
