Township of Nutley New Jersey Softball Design Build 2

Township of Nutley Softball Field Design Build

Keystone Sports Construction recently completed a design-build project at the Glotzbach Memorial Park field in Nutley Township, New Jersey. The park sits on the site of a Cold War-era military base, Camp Nutley, in the 1950’s. This design-build project consisted of several phases, starting with the excavation of the existing grass field. Next, a newly constructed stone sub-base was installed and laser graded, along with the installation of a drainage system. Following that, Keystone installed Shaw Sports Turf’s top-tier Legion Pro dual-fiber turf for the green, TruHop slit film turf for the infield, and Momentum Pro slit film turf for the warning track.

Design elements include sports lines for softball, green turf mowing patterns, a midfield logo, and “NUTLEY” lettering around the home plate. Batter’s boxes, catcher’s box, and pitcher’s mound were also provided. Additionally, concrete pads were installed for the dugout sections, and a backstop netting was installed.
