Keystone Sports Construction recently replaced the indoor turf field at Star City Soccer Center in Roanoke, Virginia, using SpikeZone Pro synthetic turf systems.
The Client
Star City Soccer Center brings together Star City Soccer Foundation, Soccer Shots Southwest Virginia, and Star City Soccer Academy. The center aims to provide the ultimate boost to soccer culture in the community through education programs, developmental programs, leagues, and camps.
The Challenge
The existing synthetic turf at Star City Soccer Center showed significant wear from continued use, creating the need for a full turf replacement to restore the indoor playing surface.
Construction Process
The project was initiated with the removal and disposal of existing turf, along with reclaiming and recycling the existing infill. Keystone then installed Shaw Sports Turf's top-tier SpikeZone Pro turf system for the field. Envirofill infill was then provided for the turf.
