Pittsburgh Public School District
Keystone Sports Construction recently completed renovations to the turf field and running track at the George K. Cupples Stadium for the Pittsburgh School District in Pittsburgh, PA. The Pittsburgh Public School District is the largest of 43 school districts in Allegheny County and the second largest in Pennsylvania. The project was initiated with the removal and disposal of existing turf and track, along with reclaiming and recycling the existing infill. After laser grading the base, new slit film synthetic turf was installed. Afterward, two-component sandwich-style synthetic running track surfacing was installed in the running track. Design elements from the project included a midfield logo, alternating green yard lines, and inlaid sports lines for football, soccer, field hockey, and men’s and women’s lacrosse.
