FAQs
What does a synthetic turf field replacement involve? A replacement project typically includes removing the existing turf, installing the new surface, and addressing infill and field components according to the project scope. At Notre Dame, the work also included inspection of the existing anchor and nailer board and GMAX testing at completion.
Can existing infill be reused during turf replacement? Infill recovery can be included in a turf replacement project. For this field, Keystone extracted and bagged the existing infill for reuse and supplied additional rubber infill. The approach depends on the existing materials and the replacement scope.
