Project Summary
Keystone Sports Construction recently replaced the turf field at Riverside High School in Leesburg, Virginia, using GAME ON synthetic turf systems from Shaw Sports Turf.
The Client
Riverside High School is a public secondary school that is part of Loudoun County Public Schools. The Riverside Rams have had recent state championship appearances in crew and lacrosse.
The Challenge
After years of consistent use, Loudoun County’s synthetic turf had become worn and was approaching the end of its useful life, creating the need for a replacement that would provide student athletes with a dependable playing surface.
Construction Process
The project was initiated with the removal and disposal of existing turf, along with reclaiming and recycling the existing infill. The existing stone base was then laser graded. Afterward, Brock shock padding was installed for the field. This project utilized Shaw Sports Turf Game On technology to design and install Momentum Slit Film synthetic turf. Additionally, the project called for the installation of sand organic infill.
