Gwynedd Mercy University – Gymnasium
Keystone Sports Construction recently completed construction of the hardwood gymnasium floors for Gwynedd Mercy University, located in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1948, Gwynedd Mercy University is a private institution located in Lower Gwynedd Township, Pennsylvania. This marks another successful project at Gwynedd Mercy University, following the installation of their multi-sport stadium field in 2021 and their baseball field in 2023. The project was initiated with the removal of the existing hardwood gym flooring.
Afterward, repairs were made to the concrete subbase. A maple hardwood subfloor and maple wood flooring were then installed. The floor was then sanded down, sealed, painted, and coated with two coats of MFMA-certified polyurethane. Design elements from this project include a midfield logo, “GWYNEDD MERCY UNIVERSITY” lettering behind the backboards, and sports lines for basketball and volleyball. Additionally, ADA-compliant ramps were installed, and volleyball sleeves and plates were provided.
