Danville Area School District – Gymnasium
Keystone Sports Construction recently completed construction of the main gymnasium floor for Danville Area High School for the Danville Area School District in Danville, Pennsylvania. In 2007, a U.S. News & World Report study rated Danville High School in the top 5% as one of the best public high schools in the United States of America. The project was initiated with the removal of the existing hardwood gym flooring. Afterward, repairs were made to the concrete subbase. A top-of-the-line subfloor and maple wood flooring were then installed. The floor was then sanded down, sealed, painted, and coated with two coats of MFMA-certified polyurethane. Design elements from this project include a midfield logo, “DANVILLE” and “IRONMEN” lettering behind the backboards, and sports lines for basketball and volleyball. Additionally, new vented cove bases, doorway thresholds, and volleyball plates were provided.
