Castle Shannon Hamilton Park
Keystone Sports Construction recently completed construction of the multisport turf, along with tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts at Hamilton Park, located in Castle Shannon, PA. Castle Shannon is a historic streetcar suburb known for its commuter rail service into Pittsburgh and a tight-knit community feel. The design-build project consisted of several phases, starting with initial site work. Keystone then installed a premium dual-fiber synthetic turf system with thatch zone for the field. Design elements include inlaid sports lines for softball, soccer, and youth soccer. Additionally, a backstop was installed for the softball field.
Keystone then installed paving for the tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts. After installing new asphalt, Keystone Sports Construction installed the new acrylic surface coating on the fresh pavement. Afterward, tennis, pickleball, and basketball line striping were provided for the courts. Additionally, Musco sports lighting was installed for the turf field, tennis courts, and pickleball courts, along with chain-link fencing surrounding both the tennis and pickleball courts. Paved walkways were then installed connecting the courts and fields.
