Conestoga High School Design Build
Keystone Sports Construction recently completed a design-build project at the two auxiliary fields, running track, and tennis courts at Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. The design-build project consisted of several phases, starting with demolition of the existing sites and the removal of the asphalt of the existing track.
After the excavation of the sites, a stormwater drainage system and stone base were installed for both fields. Afterward, Keystone installed new dual-fiber synthetic turf with a thatch zone. Design elements include inlaid sports lines for football, soccer, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, and field hockey for both fields. Additionally, Keystone installed grandstand bleachers along the sideline for one of the fields, along with backstop netting for both fields.
Keystone then installed a drainage stone base for the tennis courts. After the foundation was finished, asphalt was applied to the base. Then the surfacing and the acrylic coating were installed. After milling the existing track, track surfacing was then installed on the track and track event areas. Design elements for the track include a custom logo. Additionally, fencing was provided for the turf fields, tennis courts, and softball fields.
