Millburn High School Design Build

Millburn High School’s auxiliary field was originally constructed with a synthetic turf multipurpose field connected to a clay infield. Over time, the clay infield mix migrated onto the synthetic turf playing areas causing recurring maintenance problems for the school. Keystone Sports Construction was contracted to redesign the field concept to mitigate these problems and worked on the design, permit submittals and approvals. KSC then completed the field renovations, which included removal of the clay infield area, building a new drainage system for the new turf area, removal and replacement of the existing turf area and other general site improvements. The design build project was successfully completed on time and KSC was able to build the field for significantly less than the District’s original budget.
